Time Management

Coming into college as a freshmen; one of my big concern I had was time management.  How was I going to be able to handle my social and academic life.  Back in high school you already had your parents managing your schedule for you so going to college I was going to be on my own.  Time Management is going to be challenge for every incoming freshman.

When conducting my time management study I realize I had many free time on my hands.  When it comes to my study/homework I spend up to 26 hours a week on.  I think that it's a good amount of hours I spend on my work during the week.  I always try to study two hours for each subject that I have each day.  I usually try to work on 2-3 subjects each day to balance it out.  Some of my biggest distraction would have to be hanging out with my friends.  I always try to work first and play later.  That's something that I learned from high school by my teachers.  If I'm able to do that then I wont have to much distraction in my life.  For my social life I spend about 30 hours a week on.  I'm decided to join flag football and many clubs on campus to keep me involved at Southern.  I feel I spend the most time on is academics and socializing.  I feel I able to balance both of them.  I feel that I need to improve on decreasing my social hours a little to get more work down.  I feel that if I do it then I have a way more better time management habit.

Time management is something that is going to be hard on any freshman that is coming into college.  Its something freshmen need to learn so they could have a successful first year.  Being able to have a schedule that has your class and activities list will help you out a lot.
